Band of black at the bottom of the screen - cursor displacement

Hi there Guru type people,

I've been having problems with LOTRO since the transfer from the European servers.

In the end I resorted to a fresh download and a new bottle which got me up and running. Kudos to those who spent their effort, tears (probably), and blood (possibly) getting it to work with CrossTie.

Then I had terrible latency and I used the info in the tips and trick section and now it works with 'reasonable' latency. Kudos to those who have provided that advice!

Finally there is one problem left to overcome.

The problem:

There is a black band at the bottom of the screen.
This band displaces the cursor position click location up by the same amount. (about 30 pixels or so)
If you move the cursor below the bottom of the LOTRO quickslot bar the cursor changes into my Mac cursor.
The problem does not exist in windowed mode, but switching back from windowed mode to fullscreen makes the screen whiteout and or blackout until you switch again to windowed.

Solutions tried:

Simplest workaround is to play in an almost full resolution windowed mode.
Tried editing UserPreferences.ini by allowing FakeFullScreen and ForceFakeFullScreen to true. (perhaps these should be false?)

Anyone have some ideas? (This reminds me of an old bug dealt with somewhere but I haven't been able to locate that post...I did look...can anyone point me at that thread?)

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Omar Rahman
