How to cut and paste text from the MacOS to LOTRO in game to use in a plugin (Gibberish)

HI, I am trying to setup the plugin Gibberish but cannot copy and paste text from a config file from their website so I can import it into the plugin in game. As soon as I try the CMD V command the game locks up and I have to force quit it.

I've never used this specific plugin.

First thing to check: Remember that the CMD key is treated by any Windows application running in Crossover (or any other version of WINE) as the ALT key. You can still use MacOS key combinations such as CMD-C and CMD-V to copy and paste but you need to be sure that you don't have any game keybinds set to ALT-C or ALT-V to prevent conflicts. If you do have in-game keybinds set to ALT-C or ALT-V you should change those keybinds. If you have the ALT key alone set to something using the in-game keybinds you should change that keybind.

Second, try using the menu bar dropdown to paste instead of the CMD-V key combination. To do this, go into the game's OPTIONS->GRAPHICS and change SCREEN MODE to WINDOWED. You should now see your Dock at the bottom of the screen and your menu bar at the top of the screen. Copy the text into the Clipboard then go to the LOTRO application (wine64-preloader in your Dock), be sure the Gibberish interface is ready to accept a paste, and then use the menu bar EDIT->PASTE command (using your mouse, not the key combination) to paste the text into the plugin's interface. When you're done, you can go back to OPTIONS->GRAPHICS and return to FULL SCREEN WINDOWED mode.

If you still can't paste into the plugin's entry field using the plugin's in-game interface, you should be able to enter the data directly into its .plugindata file. Since I am not familiar with this specific plugin I can't provide detailed instructions for this but you should find Gibberish's .plugindata file (or files) in one or both of these locations:
~/Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online/PluginData/<AccountName>/AllServers
~/Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online/PluginData/<AccountName>/<ServerName>/<CharacterName>

If none of this works, report back with your results. If necessary, I'll try the plugin myself in order to work out a detailed procedure for you.
