The game loads up fine, but once I get to the main menu it either freezes are my keyboard and mouse input are doing nothing. I have to kill the game. Anyone else have luck with this issue?

If you're on a Mac try disabling the Mac driver. Bottle Manager -> select bottle where Loadout is installed -> Advanced tab
If you're on linux, check for missing dependencies:

I've just installed this in a fresh, new bottle and it runs fine.

Fabio Trotta confirmed that some graphics issues on Mac OS X can be fixed by enabling the X11 driver. The new version of the crosstie will take care of that.
