LSB 2.92 - installs, but does not work

I had no problem installing LSB 2.92 [using downloaded executable, in ubuntu-linux 8.04, with unsupported bottle in crossover office 7 pro].

Seemed initially to work, but then no feature of the program seemed to function without problems...usually leading to total freeze of the program.
