Legacy 6.0 in Linux

I've been able to successfully install run Legacy 6.0 in Crossover running on Ubuntu 7.04. It works very well. In the beginning I could get it to install but when I tried to open a file it would crash. It took take a few extra packages to get it to run properly.
This is how I installed it:

  1. Create a Win98 bottle.
  2. Install the supported packages of IE 6 and DCOM98
  3. Download and install:
MDAC 2.8 (Microsoft Data Access Components)
    jet40sp8_9xnt.exe (Jet 4.0 service pack)
  4. Download and install Legacy6setup.exe (Legacy 6.0)

The only issue I have experienced is cutting and pasting between IE 6 and Legacy (won't work - no crash). Using cut/paste from Linux Firefox to Legacy works properly. Also, do not try to paste your Customer number into Legacy when unlocking the Deluxe features. This also caused it to crash. Type it in and you will be fine.
