Well, I just got Left 4 Dead 2 to work within Steam.... I seems to work great with the same settings as the ones from Left 4 Dead. The graphics seem to be not as good as they were on the PC side, I think this maybe due to the opengl in the mac, I am not sure how make them as good as on the boot champ side....
What kind of Mac are you using? MacBook Pro?

All graphics features should work, although the performance is still much slower than on Windows. We're working on that.
I had the same problem till I read on here to remove -lv from the launch options. Did you check that?
hmm no, there is just the green menu and a black window on the right side.
