Kinda vague question, huh. =(
Start by downloading CrossOver Games 8.14, which you can find under My Account -> My Downloads -> Supported Downloads in this site, given you've bought it.
Run CrossOver's Install Wizard (I'm not sure where this app resides in OSX. It'll probably be somewhere in your panel). From there, pick Steam (via download) and follow the instructions.
Run Steam. It'll probably be on your dekstop somewhere, but if it isn't you can run CrossOver's Bottle Manager, then pick the bottle you installed Steam into, then Configure. It'll be there.
Within Steam, if you bought L4D2 from the Steam Store you'll be able to find Left 4 Dead 2 under the "My Games" tab, ready to be downloaded. If you bought it from retail, you'll need to use the activation code you got with it.
Visit the Tips & Tricks section in case you want to change some settings that may or may not make L4D2 work better.
Run L4D2.
Feel free to ask any questions. I don't use OSX, but I'll try to help as much as I can.
Hi Colby,
First, what version of Crossover are you running? Currently L4D2 only runs in CX Games 8.1.4.
Then you'll need to install Steam by clicking "Install Software..." under the "Configure" menu. If you've purchased L4D2, you can install it via Steam.
Make sure to set the launch options (specifically the "heapsize" option) found under the "Tips & Tricks" tab above.
That should get it running. You'll have to tweak options from there to get the FPS up.
EDITED Didn't realize that 8.1.4 is supported now.
