Left 4 Dead 2 Forum

For some reason, Left 4 Dead 2 (and L4D), "lock" the keyboard and mouse a few seconds after I have entered the main menu. I have made no changes at all on my system or in CrossOver games (Running Linux with CrossOver games 8.1.3).

Anyone have any ideas?

I had this problem when using -dxlevel 95, try using -dxlevel 90 in your launch options.

I have had keyboard "lockups" sometimes, when using windowed mode. I.e. not actually lockups, but the game is not registering the keys, but the window manager is. Mouse always work. The keyboard issue is fixed for me by changing to another virtual desktop, and then back. (I run l4d2 in borderless window of the size of the desktop resolution (1680x1050), i.e. it appears fullscreen.)

The issue for me is that the window manager doesn't respond as well. Will try the -dxlevel 90 launch option.
