The LOL Mac team maintained Wine LOL Client which is pretty well maintained and although LOL patches can be a little uncertain, there's a forum based support system and I haven't had any real issues since I started using it. Highly recommended for OS X users!!
On a side note - any chance to use the work they're doing to allow us to play on Linux?
What they worked on wasn't bad. But as of recently, League has gone ahead and re-released a Mac Client for mac and it does in fact work quite well.
League of legends has there own mac client now.

Just a final update on this situation: There is an official Mac version of LoL out. So, most of the testing of CrossOver will probably be attempting to run the window's version of LoL on Linux.
