I tried running the steam version of this on my mac, but it doesn't get far at all - the launcher starts, and you can press the button to start L.A. Noire, but all that seems to do is close the launcher!
I'm guessing this is because of .NET 3.5 (or lack thereof) which steam tried to install but failed. So I'm trying to get that sorted out, but so far no luck.
OK I've got .NET 3.5 to a state where it looks pretty happy, but still L.A. Noire quits immediately on start up.
I've got a log file with +seh, but it's pretty short, just this one line
err:seh:setup_exception_record stack overflow 2032 bytes in thread 0020 eip 951abc86 esp 00240b40 stack 0x240000-0x241000-0x340000
anyone got any tips? the wineHQ app db says they gave up because of .NET 3.5 not installing.
