Attempting to run “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2” via CrossOver 3
So far I found these reported specific issues preventing the game from starting. Detailed log analyses have identified the following primary causes:
- GPU Timeout Errors: Logs reveal that the game encounters GPU timeout errors during startup, leading to crashes. A common log entry associated with this issue is:
[CCommandListFenceSet] WaitForFence(CPU) TIMED OUT: [2, 0, 0] (CurrentValues=[2, 0, 0], Return value: 0x887A0005)
This indicates that the CPU is waiting for the GPU to complete tasks, but the GPU isn’t responding in time, causing the game to hang or crash.
2. CryEngine Compatibility Issues: The game’s engine, CryEngine, may not be fully compatible with CrossOver’s handling of DirectX 12. Logs show that while CryEngine initializes, it encounters errors during the rendering process, leading to a black screen or crash. This suggests that CrossOver’s translation layers might not fully support the engine’s advanced graphical features.
3. Graphics Driver Limitations: Some logs point to limitations in the graphics drivers when running the game through CrossOver. Errors such as “Failed to create D3D12 device” suggest that the necessary graphical interfaces aren’t being properly initialized, possibly due to driver incompatibilities or insufficient support for required features.
I am opening the threat for anyone to share anything new regarding the compatibility via Cross Over.
Anyone knows more?
Thank you
