Hello xover community!
I'm having issues running the application jingling.exe in xover.
First let me describe the application , it's a chinese application used for SEO ranking and traffic hits.
The application does surf other pages , in windows it does this in background without you even knowing , however in xover it automatically pops up blank windows using winebrowser.exe and because of that it don't work (that's my conclusion)
This is winebrowser.exe right? http://s29.postimg.org/e0myxjg07/browzzzer.png
Now usually jingling browse pages using iexplorer.exe since it's designed for windows everyone should have it right?
I installed iexplorer 7 in the same bottle as jingling , however no effect.
I tried changing file association to maybe ignore the opening of web pages in winebrowser (by disabling integration) , however no effect.
I tried removing winebrowser.exe from the filesystem , however jingling still finds it somewhere even though it's NOT on filesystem (yeah I checked).
Then I went to the cxassoc.conf file and edited manually associations forcing it to open everything in internet explorer , removing every single winebrowser.exe entry , however it still opens web pages in winebrowser.
So okay I was mad enough at that point , and I removed every single association in the bottle (via the .conf) and guess what... it still opens in that stupid swinebrowser!
So i'm out of ideas , I spent the whole day trying to figure out how the hell can it still open winebrowser even though I removed it from the filesystem and removed it's associations.
I hope someone can help me out , because I can't stop thinking that jingling beat me.
If anyone needs VNC access to the server just ask!
BTW I'm using RHEL 6
