Tested on a Mac Mini Core 2 Duo 1.83 Ghz, OSX 10.5.3, and the test drive version of CrossOver Games 7.

It installs and runs directly from the Gold edition CD (published by Strategy First) without tweaking of any sort. The official 1.12 patch also installs correctly if run within the same bottle.

The game runs with more than adequate performance in the starting sectors and all functionality is enabled, including key shortcuts, sound and videos. Had one crash while saving the game (it did generate a save file, but it crashed before completing it and became corrupted), but none in subsequent saves.The community 1.13 patch adds one strange issue in which the OSX cursor overlaps with the Jagged Alliance 2 one. This issue was not present in the unpatched or 1.12 official StrategyFirst versions. All other functionality of the community patch works as intended.

The only performance hit noticed is a noticeably slower tracking of fired shots compared to a Windows machine of similar hardware setup running Windows XP 64-bit edition.

One issue found, affecting both the official GOLD version (1.10 and patched to 1.12) and the 1.13 community patch: scrolling up while in tactical view (moving the mouse to the top edge of the screen) produces a draw error. Instead of scrolling smoothly, a few rows of pixels are repeated all over the screen. When the scrolling is stopped, the view goes back to normal.

could you please tell me exactly how do i run Jagged on my MacBook? i've got JA .iso and DOSBox. hlp me out?

Please try this port of the original Jagged Alliance 2 code-base.

The port was not done by me, I just made it work on OS X.
You still require the original Jagged Alliance 2 game.

Unable to perform a complete install.

Ja2.exe came up with an io-error when only 10 sec where left to install.

crossover games 7.1.1, ja gold, osx 10.4.11, macbook (black).

also tried a win98 with dcom98 bottle. same problem.

too bad. game still rocks, especially with patch 1.13 and mods.

may be someone figures out how to run this and post some hints here.
if any additional info is needed please post.
