Is iTunes prompting you to upgrade to iTunes 7.0? and it won't let you do anything else until after you upgrade?
I haven't seen that particular error. You might want to post in the iTunes 4.0 forum and see what people there have to say about it.
For my part, I haven't been able to get iTunes 7.0 to run at all in Crossover Office 6.0. The installer will run and report that it was successful, but when you try to launch it, it won't launch.
iTunes 7.0 is not supported at this time. All of the changes that Apple has put in has really busted things for us. We really want to support it, but our attempts to get it installed and running smoothly have been unsuccessful.
You gotta love closed-source software! 😉
Anyway, thanks for trying to get things working. I'm sure it's been frustrating.
Just want to report that under CCO 6.1, iTunes 7 (still) doesn't works.
Now that its been 6 months and a release later I'd like to hear what progress/plans have been made with ITunes 7 - I have a large investment in my music and this app is about the last thing tying me to windows. Any comments from codeweavers about headway on the issue? ( I know apple broke things royally).

I just tried iTunes 7. with 6.2... no luck. 😭
It doesn't even install. The quicktime installs but the iTunes failes.
I went through the installation but quicktime is the only thing that starts. You get a message about missing/corrupted windows components with iTunes 7.3.2.
