nothing new here ...

I tried version 4.5. I didn't go far thought : It won't install, because iTunes asks WindowsXP or 2000. Changing the default setting of cxoffice is not really recommanded, but I will try it tomorow with "emulating WinXP".
I can also not start when already installed under windows ... so far nothing new for iTunes (sad!)

I've tested 4.5 using both Win2000 and WinXP settings. Neither work. Both give the known "InstallShield error 1607" error. The problem, I believe, lies entirely in the fact that it's using an older version of WIndows Installer - something that is made known by InstallShield during the failed installation process. Until a working simulation of the Win2k/WinXP installer is completed, or Apple decides to release a Win9x-friendly version of iTunes (highly unlikely, IMO), then we'll have to keep waiting and testing.

Just a note, this was tested using CrossOver 2.1.x. Maybe 3.0.0 will work better?
