FC3

Two Issues.

  1. Prelinking in FC3 causes CX4 to crash and hard lock. Sometimes CX4 works. In my experience, depending on the alignment of the moon and prelink, it mostly doesn't work. Disable it. Do the following command as root:

/usr/sbin/prelink -ua

Let it run for a few minutes. Then, watch magically all your CX apps run correctly.

  1. iTunes maxes 100% CPU utilization when playing an MP3 locally from the hard drive, firewire drive, etc.. Some other people have reported this. Playing music from the iTunes music store doesn't do this.

  1. Apparently there is a bug in prelinking that also causes problems in other FC3 applications. This has been reported on fedora-devel. By default, the directories CrossOver is installed in are not prelinked, only dependent libs are, so you would probably see this behaviour in other unluck applications too.
  2. This will be fixed in the next version of CrossOver (4.0.1?). This will be available Real Soon (TM).
