Bottom line: iTunes 10.2.1 can play music, but it's awkward and error prone.
Installation is on a recent Acer Aspire One running up-to-date Ubuntu 10.10 and a current CrossOver Linux Pro 10.0.0 installation.
Oddly, iTunes is not in the cxinstaller list, nor is there a CrossTie button on the website -- you have to download the installer yourself, and select "Other Application" to install it.
The install does not go smoothly, even after first installing the C++ 2005 Redistributable (as mentioned in Tips & Tricks) -- the install complains that the install encountered a problem, and nothing was changed -- but that must be for a sub-install -- things were changed.
Invoking itunes always pops up a warning dialog, saying the install was bad, and you can't use CDs.
There are many complaints logged on stdout/stderr when running.
If you try and get About from the Help menu, iTunes crashes.
The GUI objects don't line up -- eg, the menu selection only highlights the first part of the menu, and the volume indicator does not go all the way across the widget. Gladly, the volume control works -- it is just that the visual feedback is wrong.
I didn't try much else, it meets my minimum needs, but I'm not encouraged.
