It requires that a TrueType font be found in c:\windows\fonts\arialbd.ttf.
You can either install the Arial font via crosstie, or copy and rename your favourite TTF to the aforementioned location. The game doesn't care.
Other than that, it looks like it requires Direct X Modern, which was already in my bottle because of Steam.
Edit: If your favourite resolution is not available via the options, change these lines in "steamapps/common/iron grip warlord/base/config.cfg":
seta r_customwidth "1920"
seta r_customheight "1080"
