I tested this on a Ubuntu Hardy Haron machine using CXOffice Pro 7.0.0 and could not get the latest Irfanview installer (4.10) to run using this combination of software. I tried both Win98 and WinXP bottles.

Linux, I have limited experience with Ubuntu variants, but not sure if you would need the same file that is required to run on the Mac. I installed 4.10 in a 2000 bottle (but not with the plug-ins although others report success with those if one has the necessary external applications for video, etc.) It was necessary for me to manually add the Windows file: mcf42.dll However another contributor here says that if you uncheck the box "hide dependencies" it is possible to load this file directly from the Installer along with the program. Perhaps this file is needed for Linux too? I have upgraded to CrossOver 9.0.0 Pro and all remains fine with Irfanview.
