Image features

All image features of the application seem to work very well. Version tested 4.10 on IMac OS X 10.5. Now running 10.5.8. Plug-ins for audio/visual not tested and likely require addition programs and windows components to run well. As noted in Tips and tricks, the windows file mfc42.dll is needed in the systems folder of the installation bottle to install the program. This can be copied from any PC and pasted into the relevant CrossOver windows folder or obtained by viewing package contents on installation. Continues to perform as expected with upgrade to CrossOver 10.2 Pro.

For what it's worth, CrossOver is now capable of downloading and installing that MFC DLL. In preferences, on the Installer Assistant tab, uncheck "Hide service pack and dependencies". Then, install the "MFC libraries for ActiveX" package.

I have downloaded Crossover and installed it. Then I downloaded irfanview and also unchecked the box with the mfc files and installed the MFc software successfully and then tried to install the irvanview and it doesn't work. Can you please help me?

Karen

Hmm, I don't know what to suggest as I did not follow the procedure that you did (as per the other suggestion posted here with which I am not familiar). Have you checked your Windows system folder to see if the required mcf42.dll is really there? If it isn't then just copy the file from a PC and add it as I did. If it is there, I don't know. Consider a deletion or uninstall, and reinstall following the procedure that I originally posted. What version of Irfanview did you use? That might also be a factor. I think mine was 4.1, because that is what I had on my Windows ME computer (but you can check on my posting). A later version might be different. Also I did not install any plug-ins. Christopher

I already replied to you once, but in further examining My CrossOver today, I realized that I installed my Irfanview 4.1 in a Windows 2000 bottle and not in a Windows 98 as I had thought. Having used this version on ME, I had intended to use a Windows 98 bottle. I can't remember, but maybe it didn't work for me at the time of installation, so I tried the Windows 2000??? I can't really say, but depending on what you tried, it might be worth a thought.
