iPod Support in iTunes 4.0 Forum

Has anyone had luck syncing with CX5.01 and iTunes 4.9? After much work following the instructions, learning that the instructions are partially wrong (do NOT try to install DCOM95!), and starting over a few times, I am stuck with iTunes reporting
"The software required for communicating with the iPod is not
installed correctly...."

I'm using Fedora Core 3. I can sync my ipod with native Linux applications, but I'm hoping iTunes will let me work with files from Audible.

Any hints out there?

Look at the very bottom of the page. There are updated instructions. They did NOT work for me, but you might have better luck.

Thanks. I read those instructions during my initial string of attempts. My luck isn't any better than yours.
