After using the steps in Tips and Tricks, this works very well. I was pleasantly surprised. I still get the cd burner drivers not installed properly message, but this is a minor annoyance.
I filed a beta report to issue my findings. This is such a major part of iTunes for most of us iPod users. For me it would be minor were it not for audible.com.
Other issues for iTunes that I have come across will be filed next.
FYI: On FC3 you need to recompile the kernel turning off CONFIG_EFI_PARTITION to get ipod minis to work.
BTW: I bought this to use my ipod. I assume the upgrade with full support will be free ?

We are continuing to work on this. Depending on what version you bought (standard or pro) you get all upgraded in your support period for free. And generally we work hard to get at least 1 major one during that.
