Internet Explorer 9 Beta

The beta for Internet Explorer 9 works fine on Ubuntu 10.04 (32 bit), but there is no toolbar. This means that typing a url cannot be done, but you can view web pages in it. I am not sure if there is any way to fix this problem, but I will try to find a solution.

How did you get it to start up? Did you put anything in the bottle first? What type of bottle did you use?

As far as I know, it was just a simple install. I downloaded the Vista 32 bit setup from http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/download/ie-9/worldwide and installed it in a Windows XP bottle. What problem are you running in to when trying to install it?

Well that gives me a hint right there. I used a vista bottle. It's supposed to only work on vista and win7 only but good to know that a xp bottle works.

So I tried installing on a winxp bottle but nothing. I couldn't get the installer to even start.

What version of CrossOver are you using?

Accidental double post

9.1 Linux (cxoffice) on Ubuntu 10.04 64bit.

Wait a sec... I just saw your screenshot, looks like the one I got but not with IE9, but with the crossover HTML engine. Or do I have that wrong?
Why does it say Wine Internet Explorer and where is the chrome?

Sabastian,
Can you verify that you're not just using Crossover's HTML engine? Just create an empty bottle and run the iexplore.exe under Program Files/Internet Explorer on the empty (but with crossover's html engine) bottle.
