Must have Vista / Win 7, or it won't run.

as CX keeps defaulting to a Win_XP bottle,

• you usually have to select the Vista bottle, twice.
  ( this is a flaw in CX)

also:- the Vista bottle, seems to be SP0 or SP1, which may not be a high enough level for M$ie9.

also2:- I assumed that CX10, would mow include a Win7 bottle, or even a beta version of such.

I just made a few try. I run CX11 on MacOSX Snow Leopard 10.6.8

brand new install of CX11, I install IE6 first.

Then I installed IE8 using the CrossTie and downloaded the most recent IE9 for Win7, since no crosstie were available.

IE9 did not seems to do anything but CrossOver reported installation as succesful.

First thing I notice is shortcut problem, I only had one shortcut to IE8 but at the time, I was not sure if it was IE8 or IE9.
launching IE6 was now impossible.

found out the bottle for IE9 was winxp, seemed wrong.
removed IE8 and IE9 bottle. regenerate menu and rename my shortcut to IE6 manually.

downloaded IE9 installers for WinVista (both 64 bit and 32bit)

I tried again the installer for Win7 selecting the bottle type to winvista. no change with previous. does nothing but reports succesful.
I tried the installer for Vista 64bit, same same behaviour

Then I tried the installer for vista 32bit. and I got an error message saying the ServicePack was not recent enough.

If you want you can ask me to try again and make screenshot of the two messages I got.
