What about the other way around. If it doesn't work here does that confirm that it wouldn't work on a PC? I am asking about JavaScript and CSS.

Re CSS, that has been my experience, yes: if it works (or does not work) in Crossover, then it likewise works or not under Windows.

I don't use enough JavaScript to speak with authority, so I'll leave that question for someone else.

Regarding CSS, I've never had any serious discrepancy using CO vs. a PC (both ways). JavaScript always worked, but I've tested it a lot less. My advice: use CrossOver while developing, do a final test with a real PC “just in case”

I use Crossover Office IE to get the bugs out, but before I go production with the new website/template I always test it from a virtual box version. You would probably be safe to just use crossover, but you also need to check capability with IE8 which crossover does not support officially. I would definitely install a virtual machine for these type of applications.

I would say its very safe to use Crossover to test your site in IE. I do it routinely, but as the other person mentioned IE8 isnt fully supported yet, so a VM is the 100% surefire way to go.
