IE7 fails to install

Trying to install IE7 w/ CX 11.0.2 on Linux Mint 12, but I keep running into an error. The fonts, XML Parser, and Flash all install fine, but the extraction of IE7 fails ("Unable to find a volume for file extraction. Please verify that you have proper permissions."). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello,

I have the same problem with CrossOver Linux 11.2.1 on Mageia Linux 2.

Everything installs just fine until IE7 want's to extract.

I deleted ~/.cxoffice and still same problem.

I removed Crossover 11.2.1 and tried the same with CrossOver 11.1.0 and all installations work fine.

I removed 11.1.0 again as well as ~/.cxoffice and reinstalled 11.2.1 and problems came back.

It seems that this is a problem with 11.2.1.. I reported this problem since 11.2.0 but still no fix.

Please gather a log of IE7 failing to install and email them to info@codeweavers.com and we'll investigate further.

You can gather a log by opening a terminal and setting:

CX_LOG=~/ie7_install_fail_cxlog.txt
CX_DEBUGMSG=+seh,+tid

and then running Crossover Install Software and trying to install IE7. Also grab the debug log that Crossover Install Software presents when the install ends, and zip that and the .txt logfile together and email us that zip.

I am also unable to install IE7 on Crossover 11.2.1 on Linux

It fails immediately on install (says something like internal error)

Same with Internet Explorer 8

Same problem here. Get an error: "The program iesetup.exe has encountered a serios problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Any ideas?
