Unable to Run IE 6.0

Hello. I recently purchased CrossOver office and just tried to use / install IE 6.0. The application won't currently run for me. I am, however, able to run other CrossOver Office applications (e.g., MS Office 2003 apps).

I modifed my menus, so to run Internet Explorer 6, I located the program file -- the .exe file -- in the program files directory within the C: drive, Program Files, Internet Explorer directory. Double-clicking on the .exe file brings up a completely blank window. I left it up for 5 minutes just to make sure that it wasn't just slow to load, but that didn't work. Note that when I right-click on the blank window, I get what appears to be the IE 6.0 right-click pop-up options. I tried choosing "refresh" from the list of options, but it didn't have any affect.

I also created a new bottle and installed IE 6.0 in the bottle. It appeared to download the install files from the internet and ran the install program fine. When I run the application from the new bottle, I get exactly the same situation -- completely blank "Wine" window.

I have a screen shot that doesn't show much but a blank window, but I don't see a way to attach it here... if that would help, let me know how to send it in.

I'm running Kbuntu 8.04.

Your help is appreciated.

I think perhaps you are attempting to run the Wine Iexplorer?

The path that should lead you to IE6 is (I know that KDE is sometimes a bit... touchy)(where [bottle name] is replaced with the name of the bottle IE6 is installed in):

~/.cxoffice/[bottle name]/drive_c/Program\ Files/Internet\ Explorer/

If you need further help, please open a support ticket or send an email to info@codeweavers.com.

Thank you.

Another bit of info: Internet Explorer 6 only really runs as a web browser in a win98-type bottle. In other types of bottles, it doesn't install or run completely. It is sometimes useful to install it into those other bottle types for the purposes of providing functionality to other applications, but not as a standalone browser.
