Hi, new to the Crossover world- I needed IE6 for testing purposes on my Mac and ran across this. Love it so far! A couple questions that perhaps can be cleared up:
1) The general GUI, not for Crossover itself, but for the Win apps running in it. I understand in a Win2000 bottle for IE6 the interface will like it's running in Win2000. However, in Vista bottle especially, why don't the apps (say Win Media Player) run looking a Vista app? It seems that all buttons, no matter which WIn version they're emulating, get put in '2000 mode'. Is there a setting to change this?
2) The screenshots for apps on the Crossover site. For example, when I was looking for IE6, I was rather repelled by the five-year-old image of Tiger. (Does this company care about updating? Etc, etc) As said before, it's been working great, but to appeal to the general Mac crowd, more recent (SL or Lion) images would be far better, both for promoting the 'commitment' of CodeWeavers and the user group here, and just to prove to people (that's part of the part of the screenshots anyway isn't it?) that it will run on a modern OS X.
To extend that, I would be happy to take screenshots of many apps on Lion, but that raises another question: how do you choose which screenshots get on the main page? Is it just the first one submitted? The last one? I think the best would be to pick the most recent OS X (after all, most of your new business is from Mac, correct?) screenshot.
Please discuss.
Thanks!
Liam
