Inscryption Forum

Hello,

I installed Steam followed by the game Inscryption on my Macbook Pro (13-inch, 2020) running MacOS Montery 12.01.

Problem:
The game seems to run well, but all textures and screens are extremely dark.
It is as if a setting inside the game had reduced the brightness to a minimum.
Because of this darkness, I can't see the cards on the game's board.
Please see some attached screenshots for samples.

Things I have tried, but didn't help:

1. Tweaking with the game setting brightness and all other video settings. Inscryption doesn't provide many video setting options, so I tried many combinations of Resolution, Brightness, and Quality.
2. Installing another game on Steam to check if it had a similar issue. I installed "Into The Breach" and the game looked correct, with no darkness problem.

Bad news, I don't think there's much that can be done right now: this is a 32-bit DirectX 11 game, which we unfortunately do not have great support for at the moment :/ Good news is that getting 32-bit DirectX 11 games working better is a priority for us, so it's possible this will be working better in a future CrossOver release.
