OK. It installs and runs fine. So far basic plotting (X-Y with error etc) works a charm.

I'll be trying out some of our fitting functions soon, so watch this space.

Problems: The help browser breaks - no window bar and hence no way to close it. The redraw is also broken on the help browser when you resize it.

I've got it running also. I'm using version 4.06 of Igor Pro, running under Codeweavers Office Standard, on a Slackware Kernel 2.6 Linux box.

I've used macros I've written to do file loading, data plotting (x-y) and data fitting.

I've switched to Mandrake Linux 10.0, but everything else is the same. I can't print. Andrew, are you able to print?

I haven't tried printing yet - I was focussing on testing the analysis functions first. I'll get on to it once I'm back in Oz (am in Europe and away from my machine).

I can't think of anything obvious that would be stopping it from printing. Can you print from other apps e.g. Notepad?

I just gave Igor 5.04B a try with CXOffice 5.0.0, and was able to print a simple layout with one minor glitch which was quickly resolved. It turned out that the first layout I printed had about a quarter of the right hand side sheared off; however, that layout was printed assuming an A4 paper size. Tweaking the paper size in the printer properties fixed the problem immediately.

My printer is defined in CUPS, and properly works for native Linux apps like OpenOffice, Mozilla Firefox, or KPDF. If you continue to have problems with printing, it might be a good first step to make sure it works in Linux by itself first.
