Upon installing the Homeworld 2 bottle all works great except one thing: the F12 pause button. It doesn't work, in controls preferences shows as Unassigned and it's one of the buttons that can't be changed. Even tried to disable the default OS X mapping of F12 to Dashboard and reinstalling but no dice. This makes the game largely unbearable for me... Any possible solution for this problem?

Now it's been a few years since I played, and I haven't gotten around to installing with Crossover yet, but in single player doesn't the game pause if you enter the menu (save, load, exit, options, etc.)? Most games do and I thought HW2 did as well. Some suggest that Pause has been mapped to the Pause/Break key you see on PC keyboards, is there a way using Crossover to send that key command? Quick internet searching (though I'm sure you tried yourself) doesn't reveal any way of changing the keymapping itself in the game (which is odd, it is set somewhere, just pray it is in some readable file and not part of the compiled program.)

• entering the menu does make the game pause.
• here, f12 (actually fn+f12, as f12 is volume up by default on my macbook pro) works just fine and pauses the game. also, Pause is assigned to F12 in Controls.

BTW, config lies in Library/Application Support/CrossOver Games/Bottles/Homeworld 2/drive_c/Program Files/Sierra/Homeworld2/Bin/Profiles/Profile1/PLAYERCFG.LUA
