I've been meaning to look at this one for a while ; my son recommended it
as a game I would find interesting =) On Steam special ; had to buy it...
...I see now where folks have trouble with this version -- by default, the
game is going to try and launch in a 4:3 aspect screenres -- 800x600 ; 1024x768
or 1280x1024 ... these are the only options in the configuration menu, along
with the fullscreen on/off toggle...now...
...in game (the game's own graphics options/renderer options), there you can
select the widescreen modes that best match your display, so what I did was
start the game configuration GUI, tick on fullscreen mode and set it to
1280x1024 (4:3/5:4), save&launch the game. Once the game is running, go into the
graphics options there, and set the resolution in the renderer options to suit
your display ; you likely will not see -all- modes your display supports (seems
hardcoded in the game), so you have to pick the 'closest fit' ...ie; the game
doesn't seem to support the iMac's 1920x1080 screenmode I have, so the closest
fit in my case is 1680x1050 ... works fine like this....
..a lot of laptop displays are 13?0x768 or such'n'similar, and it doesn't seem
the game supports those... so the closet fit there will be 1280x720 or what-have-you
... the point is, set it to the highest compatible aspect/resolution your display
has, and it should be ok...
