Hey everybody!

Do you have an idea why the game is totally choppy? The main menue works fine and smove (also the background animation) but if you want to play a map the system really needs a very long time to built it up. Finally the game is unplayble. It's extremly slow and choppy. Music sounds fine but all movements on the screen - landscape, heroes, menue are in slooooooow motion. Taking down the details of the game and the resolution doesn't change anything.
I know it works on crossover, I played the game some years ago on my old Macbook but on my newer one - no...

Can you attach a screenshot of game graphic settings?

Of course!

... but it doesn't matter if you play the game with a resolution of 1680x1050 and high grafic settings or 640x480 and very low settings. It's always the same problem. For me it seems to be more like the game cannot get the full cpu power. Although the music runs smoothly.

I suppose all 2014 MacBooks use hybrid graphics (2 graphics cards, 1 nVidia and 1 slower Intel integrated one). I think your problem may be using the integrated graphics card instead of the nVidia one. I play HoMM V on Macbook Pro 2015 with Intel Graphics without any problem. Try modifying registry key "csmt"=0.

Thank you both for your ideas. I already tried it (grafic card settings and csmt-settings in the registry) and now again but it's still not working.
