I am unable to get the information screens in battle.net desktop app but abble to log in, this same issue is probably stopping hearthstone from connecting as I get a gremlins are interupting my connection or something similar, is there a log file that will give me more information?
Actually they're two separate problems. The "playful sprites..." message is intermittent. Some people get it, some do not. I got it once today. Exited the game, started it again and it worked. Just played a match.

It's probably the servers getting hammered with all the new players being added. There are posts about this on the battle.net forums. HS is still in beta so things might break :)
