How do you enable cheats for Half-Life using Crossover Games?

Like you do on Windows 😊

haha Agh! I've looked up multiple ways to make to enable cheats and none of them have worked for me, probably because I'm doing it wrong. Would you mind running through the steps for me?

First of all you must have the console enabled.

Once you have done that look up cheats on the internet and enter them exactly as they are.

I have found that with cheats such as those that give you weapons and items there is sometimes a glitch that requires you to start a new game, or load a save after entering the cheat for it to work.

This is how I have enabled the console and cheats.

Run Command...
Choose the bottle where Half-Life is installed
Browse for and Open the HL.exe
In the Command line after HL.exe" type in -console +sv_cheats 1
Then - Save Command to Programs Menu
Use this new alias for playing the game and the console and cheats will be enabled.

The easiest way is to go to launch options and enter -console +sv_cheats 1

Where do I find launch options?

When looking at your steam games list right click on a game and choose properties. On the window that pops up you can select set launch options. You can from here enter any launch options you please such as -console, you can also make any console command automatically apply by typing it in the launch options with a plus in front of it i.e. +sv_cheats 1

I'm not running Half-Life through Steam. That explains my confusion.
