Is anyone else finding their scrollwheel unresponsive for selecting weapons? I've noticed problems where one tick on the scroll wheel doesn't have any effect. I'm using a Dell 5-button Premium Optical Mouse on OS X 10.5.2. To get it to work I have to either scroll a few ticks and hope it lands on the right weapon or use the number pad to select them.
With my Logitech MX700 (old mouse), I can use the configuration utility to raise the sensitivity to the max and turn acceleration to none for Crossover Games. This makes the scroll wheel responsive enough to play. I think what's happening is the acceleration on Mac is too slow, to where scrolling up once won't even register.
Yes this is a accel curve issue with OSX if you spin it fast it should work. Now then if you have a MS intelli mouse dl and install the drivers it will set a XP like curve. Or like I did buy a Razor Procision v1.6 they even have leopard drivers now. this will also change the curve. Good luck because it is a pain to get the mouse just right. If your coming of XP to the mac with games then you will never be happy and will have to relearn the "curve"
