Hi.

I would really like to cmd+tab to the desktop when running Half Life 2 (Answer skype calls, chat requests, taking a break without quit and so on.)

I have not found a way on Crossover for Mac (not sure about the Linux version, been some time since I used it) and when using the cmd+alt+ctrl+r combination HL2 always hangs and I need to kill it.

Anyone have any tips? Or is it a feature that needs to be added in Crossover? I know that it should be possible as all the cider based games I have (C&C 3, NFS Carbon, EVE online and HOMM V) works with cmd+tab to switch to the desktop and back.

I suggest running the game in windowed mode if you really need to task switch that often.

For what it's worth, the key combination to force CrossOver out of full-screen is Command-Option-Shift-R (since Option is known as Alt in many places, that can also be described as Command-Alt-Shift-R). You had substituted Control for Shift in your post.

That said, this does not provide a satisfactory solution to the issue because once you switch out of full-screen, there's not a convenient way to switch back. Sometimes, making a change to the game video settings, such as the resolution, will re-instate full-screen mode.

For the moment, windowed mode is your best choice. I'll put improving this on my list of things to work on.
