I have the new silver imac, it has leopard, 2.4 ghz, intel core 2 duo, 1 gb ram, and ati radeon hd2600 with 256 mb
I can run counterstrike source just fine on maxed out graphics, but half life 2 only plays well with all low graphics settings. I was hoping to play episodes 1 and 2 and portal but with the results from half life 2 im really upset. any help?
bump please, I'm really desperate, I thought that with my new imac with all the aforementioned specs I could run any steam game, namely portal, episode 1+2 and half life. I can run counterstrike perfectly but why cant i run these!!
Make sure there are no other programs running in the background hogging CPU. The only settings I would leave low are, "Shaders" and "Shadows", also leave HDR disabled. Textures and Models should be able to be run at high on your chipset.
