For some reason on my last update on Steam, the sound cut out, and I had to start a nw bottle and everything works.
HOwever, I am half way through HL2, and was wondering if there's any way to save progress in the game on the reinstall, or if Steam does it automatically.
I see that the stats in TF 2 were rest, so was wondering if I had to go through everything again.
Yes, you can copy your saved games and such. Exit Steam (really exit, don't just close the window so it lives in the systray). Copy all the files from your old bottle's drive_c/Programs Files/Steam/steamapps to your new bottle's directory of the same name, but don't replace any files which already exist in your new bottle. That should do it.
