Whenever i load HL2 using crossover 6.0 it loads into a black screen. I have audio but i cant do anything. Ive been sifting through the forums looking for a solution but cant find one to work so far.
my system:
Model Name: Mac Pro
Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
Memory: 8 GB
Video: ATI Radeon X1900 XT
Is there any solutions to this problem? Ive noticed alot of MBP users to have success.
Are you really using version 6.0 of CrossOver? That hasn't been the most current version for some time. We've recently released version 6.2. If you're really using 6.0, then your first step is to try with 6.2.
It's not a problem we've had recently, but if a game switches you to full-screen but all you see is black, then you might be seeing the black "shielding" window created by the full-screen APIs of Mac OS X. You can try forcing CrossOver out of full-screen using the key combination for the Restore from Full-screen menu item: Command-Option-Shift-R. If you do that, do you see HL2 running?
