Help Installing HL2 (can't switch CDs)

I got the 1st edition of HL2 (5 CDs, CS:Source included, nothing more).

I downloaded the trial version of CO-Games and I tried to install HL2.

Thing is, it goes through the 1st CD just fine, then it asks me to insert Disk 2. Now, I'm running it on a Mac OS X 10.5.4 (if that matters), I can't eject the disk - it says it's in use....

The only way to eject it is to abort installation...

Is there a way to go through this and swap the disks??? Thanks

Did you try the eject button on CrossOver's installation dialog?

Alternatively you can just start steam and let it download the game. Installing the CDs doesn't gain you much, because the game has been constantly modified and bugfixed since it was originally released, and if you install the content from the CD, Steam will virtually re-download the entire game when updating it.

I've managed to download it, but thank you anyway!

Is there a way to make anti-alias work in these source games?? It doesn't seem to work after I apply the video settings... Water reflection (world reflection) doesn't seem to work either... Thanks

had the same problem so just downloaded steam. can't seem to download HL2. I got the demo and it runs great but the only thing that looked like i could do is register a product on steam but it won't let me unless i install from a disk which i've even tried ejecting from the terminal to do and won't work. are there more descriptive directions to dl'ing it off steam? please any help with out having to install windows : (. If i just re-buy it thru steam will that work? (not trying to spend more money on it again but if i have to).

Chris, there should be a "register product" menu entry in Steam which allows you to enter the CD key to register your HL2 copy.
