Confused - probable new user error

Hi there

I wanted to try this software before I bought - I prefer to use a mac for all things but to play Guild Wars or lord of the rings online I have to switch to windows

So I have installed crossover and then went to install the games i wanted.

Both fail :(

I am running an early 2011 macbook pro with Mountain lion fully updated

Guild wars - fully supported according to the website, installs the fonts etc then comes up with a "crossover Software Installer" error:

Installing Guild Wars Task Failed
'/Users/aladinsaneuk/Library/Application Support/CrossOver/installers/81ce3230084010877978a9d2da482c0f.en.txt' is of an unknown installer type for Guild Wars
Continuing with the install may produce unpredictable results.

I can try again, skip this step or cancel.

Needless to say nothing works!

Lord of the rings online - not supported but apparently does work as it is community supported - does much the same - fonts install then c++ etc but then a very similar message

I have ensured I am running the most recent version of crossover

I have scoured the forums to no avail - so HELP please!

Hi Pete,

Crossover does not support mountain lion as it hasn't been released yet. I assure you that the crossover team will have full support for it when it comes out.

For now, please run it in under lion.

Brian

This is CrossOver 11.1 you are using?

Aside from LOTRO & GW2, are other apps running OK? (As you have surely noticed, CrossOver 11.1 is not Gatekeeper-compatible yet, but other than that we are hopeful it is working (although, of course, not officially supported right now, as Apple has not yet released Mountain Lion). If you do encounter errors, we are interested.
