Game crashes after selecting race

My game gets an error after selecting a character race. I get the following error. I am running it on a macbook pro retina.

I'm having the same problem on my Mac Book Pro Retina. I'm using the latest CrossOver for GW2 - Version 11.2 (11.2.0.26253).

The first thing I would do when the game boots up is click Back from race and then click graphics settings and lower the resolution.
If the game is trying to run at the maximum resolution of the retina display that's probably causing it to crash.

I tried the integrated GPU and GW2 hangs before the login screen.

I'm running it in a window. My display is set to 1920x1200. I'll try shrinking the window and see if it helps.

It does work for me at 1024x768 full screen. once i get into the game, it's fairly unusable as my character's drawing is bad. Its head is just a bunch of giant triangles.

so i can log in, but i cant "play game"...is it possible to revise the graphics settings before "play"-ing so as to see if running on the max is causing my game to crash (right now, once i hit play, the game immediately crashes outright)

Ok so after adjusting all settings to the lowest I can kinda play (In windowed mode). However the game is hard to play because of the strange triangles that effect my character.... Heres my possible solution. I have noticed that others using Nvidia cards can play as long as they set their resolution lower. However with the retina the display is obviously set much higher than other macs... I am wondering what is the default resolution, refresh rating, frequency range for other macs. I am wondering if i use a product like switchresx if I can set my display in a way that might allow me to play guild-wars without the triangles. right now i supposedly run at 60 fps, I think thats definitely wrong seeing that most people seem to be playing at 20.

Im having the same issue but am unable to have any of the ideas listed in this thread work. After i select my race and am sent to the profession selection screen the game crashes before the an image of the character can load. I get a message saying it crashed or whatever and i get the same thing as OP. Any ideas why its not working for me in a lower resolution or in windowed mode?

What happens if you set the resolution of your Retina mac to 1680x1050 (Thats the resolution of my 15" so it should be available for you) and then try running.
The refresh rate for every single mac running crossover is 60, doesn't matter what you're playing or how good your mac is.

Are you sure that your 60fps isn't the refresh rate, I highly doubt thats your FPS. FPS is shown down the bottom of the settings/options menu in the game, it should constantly change.

As for the triangles, I have no idea, you might need to increase the FixedVShaderLimit value to higher than 275, 275 is the value that I worked out for the 15" with ATI cards, it might not apply to the NVIDIA cards. Can you post a screenshot of what it looks like?

Try to add the registry value VideoMemorySize = 256 (256 being your video memory in your computer). Look for instructions on how to do this at the top of the forum.
