Guild Wars 2 is running!... but

Hey there everyone,

Thanks to all of you, I installed GW2 successfully on my iMac, and GW just launched! I started it up, and right off the bat, my character faces were just a bunch of textures all of over the place. When I finished creating my character and clicked play, the game crashed. I tried it again, and it crashed again. I'm not sure what I should do really, should I post a screenshot or something? Is anyone else having this issue? My launcher is repairing now, so hopefully that fixes it.

Thanks!

Julian

I'm having the weird face texture issues too, i'd rather not make a character that i want to play for ages now with a horrible face, but i'll try it anyway. I'll update you on whether or not it crashes upon clicking the character create button.

I'm getting the weird textures too. I did notice that, if you hide armor (little helmet icon) while creating your character, you can then see the face. It might now show all the details, but it's close.

Alright, after repairing the client, it works, but the face textures are terrible, it spreads to the whole screen so I can't see anything.

Here are some pictures:

Hopefully we can fix this :/

Thanks!!

Yes Jon, but once you start, you can't hide it anymore as far as I know.

I got through character creation screen fine, but you're right the face textures are just horrible.

I'm also facing the white rain and fog bugs as well.

I'm thinking that I'll wait until Crossover has a while to experience the whole game, it should go well. In the mean time, Windows it is.

About halfway down that thread is a new build of Crossover specifically intended to fix a lot of these issues.
There is also a registry edit you will need to do which gets rid of all the texture stretching, it does drop the framrate quite a bit, but it's quite playable and gives really gorgeous graphics.

Hi All!

I tried to download the fix and it just downloads another version of Crossover.

I launched it–but nothing has changed?.

Was I supposed to do something with the file I downloaded first?

I tried to download the fix and it just downloads another version of Crossover, is that right? I launched it, but nothing changed. I went into the regedit and created the shader value, but nothing is fixed unfortunately. Was I supposed to do something with the file I downloaded first? Servers are back up, btw.

Never mind, the textures are much better!! Thanks :)

Ok I new here so forgive my lack of knowlegde. I can get the client to open up but every time I press play it starts to load flash white and then immediatily crash es. Is there some program I need to install into the bottle to get it to start right or is it a coding problem.
