Not sure if anyone else has found this. On my mac I had been using the -useoldlauncher till today and it was working. Now all I get when that is used is a black square on the screen and nothing happens. It seems that it has stopped working now.

Having changed the -useoldlauncher to -dx9single it has now worked and the new launcher is running fine. Still to confirm if all this works for logging into the stress test tonight.

off topic: Shame really as the old login screen with the moving background was far nicer than the current one

I found -useoldlauncher to stop working yesterday. It would start up the old launcher, it would load files, then it would go full screen white. The white screen would crash, and I would receive a prompt to send the error to ArenaNet. I tested on my Windows computer and the same thing happened (so this doesn't seem to be a CrossOver problem). Today -useoldlauncher does nothing and instead the regular new loading screen opens. Thankfully -dx9single works.

Where do you input this? On the command line? Outside of the quotations?

I'm getting an error: There is no Windows program configured to open this file.

Okay I got it. You just need to have a space between the executable location (in quotations) and the -dx9single (outside of quotations)
