The download bar not completing

I'm not sure if this is an internet speed thing or if I'm dealing with something bigger.

This photo shows where the download stops. and this photo shows that the crossover games client has not completed the installation of gw2 - i think this is because of what is happening in my first image.

What version of Crossover are you using?
Also, don't be 100% sure that it's actually stopping, if you're installing for the first time there are a LOT of files it has to download and the progress bar won't move an awful lot until you get to the last few thousand files. Leave it running for an hour or two and see if it has moved/the client has crashed in the manner specified in the Tips and Tricks section here in the GW2 Compatibility area.

going to try that. i'll keep you posted. thank you for the quick response.

regards,

sean

the first patching process is still not completing. it continues to load awfully slow (even will high speed) and will crash after a while.

now, i've read that it isn't actually starting over, but keeping the information from previous attempts. can you confirm this?

i'm glad to be approaching this problems now, ahead of release.

Yup. It isn't re-downloading files it is simply restarting the percentage bar to accommodate newer files only.
So whilst it looks as if It's starting fresh each time it isnt. It was crash almost exactly every 10,000 files (if you're unfortunate like me, the only way to see how many files left is to wave your mouse over the red linked text rapidly).
There are a LOT of files. Upwards of 16GB's I believe so it is unfortunately going to take some time. Make sure you've read the tips and tricks section, especially with regard to the use of the '- image'.
