Hi everyone, this weekend was my first beta. I really liked the game, but the performance was barely playable on the lowest settings. I have a 2009 macbook 2.26 ghz and an Nvidia GEforce 9400m. I was really hoping I would be able to play it smoothly, but now I am not sure.
So my question is do you think the bad performance is caused by Crossover and by my some-what crappy computer?

Guild Wars 2 is not yet optimized, which means the CPU has to do a lot of work usually the GPU would do. There are enough threads in the Guild Wars 2 forums regarding performance problems, but as far as I can see, there are only complaints about problems, and no solutions besides waiting for further optimization. I gave it a short test on BWE1 (not this one) on my GTX570m and it was playable but the framerate was no fun and I often had performance stalls.
