Minimum System Requirements--Video Card

So, I'm running a Mac, OS 10.7.3 with the latest version of Crossover. I have a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5, 4 GB of memory, and a 384 mb Intel Graphics 3000 card. I should be able to run Guild Wars 2 on this, right? It definitely meets the system requirements. I installed Guild Wars 2 and the DirectX Modern Component via Crossover, and then when I launch the program I get a white screen and an error message:

"Guild Wars 2 has detected that your System's Video Card is an unsupported hardware device. Please be certain that your Video Card meets the minimum system requirements to play Guild Wars 2 as intended."

How can I get Crossover and Guild Wars 2 to understand that I have the minimum graphics requirements? I already created a new DirectX key in the registry with the value of VRAM, but that doesn't seem to be doing anything.

Help me please! Thanks!

Have you tried any of the Tips & Tricks?

you may also want sure your VideoPciDeviceID and VideoPciVendorID reg keys have the proper values; you should find the correct values in the same location as you did the VRAM
They follow a format similar to 10de:0402 (rev a1)In this result0x10de is the pci vendor idand 0x0402 is the pci device id(above example is for a nVidia GeForce8600GT yours will be different). These new registry keys go in the same branch as the VideoMemorySize key

Where can I find the ID for my particular card? (Intel HD Graphics 3000)

Where should I create those registry keys?
Under Direct3D like the VRAM? And the names?

Thanks!

bump!

would also like help to" Also looking for an answer to "guild wars 2 has detected that your system's video card is unsupported hardware device. Please be certain that your video card meets the minimum system requires..."

Hey everyone, i'm having the same problem right here.. Hm i found out that the deviceID does not get "read" properly... i'm currently on a macbook pro 8.1 (Intel HD3000) etc etc...
noticed this difference in the logs

Chipset Model: Intel HD Graphics 3000
Type: GPU
Bus: Built-In
VRAM (Total): 384 MB
Vendor: Intel (0x8086)
Device ID: 0x0126
Revision ID: 0x0009
Displays:

--> DirectX Device Info <--
VendorId = 0x8086
DeviceId = 0x2582
Version = 6.14.0010.4764
Description = Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family
Compat = 0x00000040
VidMem = 256 MB

i tried twitcking with the vidmem and changing the deviceID in regedit however it wouldn't change. if any admin can see this i'm pretty sure it would solve the problem...

So, I'm experiencing this problem again. I had fixed it for BWE2 and then after I upgraded to Mountain Lion for BWE3 it stopped working (after they patched it during the event it was never able to run again}. I'm now reinstalling it but neither Crossover nor Wineskin will even let me install it because of this unsupported video card error. I'm using an Intel HD 3000 with 384 Mb memory, so I'm not sure why it thinks my card is unsupported, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get this up and running by the 25th. Please help!

wouldn't doing a command like "intel-auto-select {ViewPortIn=1280x800}" etc etc. help with this? (i'm not completly sure on how to write it on crossover so can't test it.

Ok i've done some working here and there.. the problem is not that wine can't identify the graphic card... it's something else... not sure about what though..
Edit: Installing VideoDriver should fix the graphic card identification problem.

can you explain this in more detail? Im having the video card issue and I'm not very smart haha.

I personally don't know much about it. as i'm having the same problem while using crossover or any other wine version... (problem does not exist when i boot camp).. Having an actual developer look at this would be great though... it is a problem that is occurring only with intel hd as far as i know though.

you think they'll fix this by time of game launch?

Not sure... anyway i think it;s the ndll. file that is causing this problem. Got to test but idk how to :).

fixme:ntdll:NtQuerySystemInformation info_class SYSTEM_PERFORMANCE

This is what stops intel HD 3000 from playing.. i know it can be fixed.. not sure on how in crossover though. :( ..

well I hope codeweavers are working as hard as you are, thanks a lot, If you figure it out let me know

http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=7951;forum=1;msg=129056

this is also another reason why intel based macbooks can't play gw2 atm using wine.
