problem of graphics

First of all thank you for the guide to installing the game, everything is very well spent.
But when I play I GW2 has a low-end graphics, how could I improve it?

As of now i'd say set all the graphic settings to their lowest in the game remember its beta and not the final product so theres still a lot of things thats not been optimized like the graphics/lag/server overcrowding etc.

If you have not already, you may need to add DirectX 9 to your Guild Wars 2 bottle. To do so, start the CrossOver Software Installer and search for DirectX. Look for the DirectX Modern component and then open the bottle section so you can select the Guild Wars 2 bottle. Once selected, start the install by clicking 'Install'.

You should be able to see more advanced graphic options if you open the settings in the sign on screen (as in, you can see if this made a difference without the beta weekend event being open).

thinks you for all

Oh i miss this! There are two DirectX Versions an i installed the old one. With that old one the game looks horrible, the performance was bad and on distance the buildings showed as grey fog.

So i played with wine yesterday since i read over the hint with the Modern Component! Installed it now and hope to get a little experience boost in eyecandy with my fresh crossover at the next Beta Weekend! Hope there will one more in the end of May!

Oh i will check this. Are there more Options then with wine 1.5.3? Or maybe i got the same Options with the depricated and the modern DirectX.

Thank you very much for your post!

The game looks good anyway. And just in the charrhometown i got an issue that i hate to have.

Its like a far away sphere of Dust or fog around all buildings. And all the textures of the building are white or blurred out. If i start the game with wine i can see all textures clear. Of cause there is no focus-effekt but i like it more. On wine i have nearly no pop ups or popping up textures when my charr run along the town. With crossover there are many texture popups which are ugly. Why have Crossover this "issue" and wine not? I suppose that are some Settings about Direct X stuff. But maybe someone know how i could disable this effect.

Anyway, the Lightning and Shadow-Stuff works great with Crossover!
