I'm on Ubuntu, so the experience might be different.
What I done to play the game only with Vega 11 (integrated graphics card from Ryzen 5 3400g) without a dedicated video card are these :
- have 8 GB or 16GB RAM (better)
- Dedicated video card needs to be better than the integrated graphics card if you have this option
- Do not have Chrome or Firefox browser open while playing if you do not have enough RAM
- Do not use 2 monitors for different tasks, unless you can split the integrated graphics card and dedicated card between the 2 monitors
Now ingame graphics settings :

Resolution : Window, i play this way for many years already (including when I was still on Windows 7/8), you can make it possible to retain the Ubuntu Launcher Applications Bar (some know it as Unity) while the remaining space it's occupied by the game. And from this point you can see the ingame texts more better, your FPS improve, and you can browse Firefox or do work stuff while being AFK ingame. Just use the Windows button between CTRL + ALT (some have as FN)

Frame Rate : Default (this is in gray, at least I can't change it)

Frame Limiter : 30 ( it's enough for every kind of decent action, and it can help in WvW to don't get "Lag/Skipping frames" vibe, even for powerful graphics card, and the extra resources are saved by giving a constant FPS)

And this is it.. I should note that the developers made a few modifications before Summer 2023 and they added even more lower settings as options and if you choose the Settings Preset : Best performance, it isn't updated yet to these new lower settings.
From here onward any updates from the Anet game developers make, can affect any of us, in good or bad way, and until it's fixed, we can only wait and hope they fix it, if not.. there is always possibility to create a forum post or report bugs.
And it also depends if you have AMD or NVIDIA graphics card (or the integrated ones from AMD or Intel)
Some players confirmed that the changes made in the game engine were good, but it still heavily relies on the Processors, and a good dedicated graphics card it only helps you if you play in dungeons with high number of animation processes (like Harvest Temple) or if you play in World vs World with zerg fights which count on each side more than 20 (my Vega 11 can handle if my team and enemy is about 15 each, higher than that FPS drop and I take guesses where zergs will move, and do a AOE skill in a area and see how many get inside it ^^ )
What I can confirm is that a friend of mine sometimes plays GW2 under Debian with Lutris (latest Wine) and is still impressed by the fact that there is only a average of 5 FPS difference between Windows and Linux, while -5fps being less in Linux, it's somehow more smooth to play than on Windows, and had less crashes than on Windows, something about deleting some temporary files from tmp document or something similar, that re-appear when you start the game anyway, and btw.. this should be No.1 thing to do if you have any kind of crashes on Linux)
And Anet dropped support to continue on Mac OS on the new ARM Chipsets like the M2 (it's same used on SmartPhones and small electronics with lower power consumption) cause they can't remake the game and adapt to a unique graphics card (something like that, but the information can be found on web)
